Woohoo! Got my Gamecube!
Wow it is great. I know most of you probably hate console games, but I think the experience they offer is different from that of a PC game and that the two shouldn't be compared. Anyhow, it rocks. I have Waverace Blue Storm, Madden 2002, and Tony Hawk 3. Anyone else buy one of these or maybe an XBOX (don't want that POS)?

Sorry to rain on your parade, but consoles suck the big one.

Tony Hawk 3 better come on PC cause I do not want a GameCube. If it is on PS2 maybe I will get a PS2.

What made you choose the Gamecube? Was it just the price, or is there something I'm missing. I looked at the stats, and the thing sounds like a dog.
Tho I'm not sure which one I'd have gotten. The evil XBox, albeit hella hackable. or the PS2, which is already looking outdated, and isn't likely to ever get a full fledged Linux port.. Hmm..

Mmm.. Actually, I like racing games. And that one for the XBox looks like it might be pretty fun.. Now if I can just hack in a real USB port so that I can plug in a Sidewinder force feedback steering wheel.. ;>

I must admit... Project Gotham racing does look pretty neat. I like racing games too, but it doesn't have to be cars so I bought WaveRace: Blue Storm. I've never seen better water fx in any other video game. Also the gamecube controller rocks. The XBOX one doesn't.

I got an Xbox (yeah whatever flame now, later pfft :P). Project Gotham Racing is hella cool, as is Halo and DOA3. I don't see what people are complaining about the controllers. Do you have little girl hands or something? I might have complained when I was 12 but not now.
Now I just need to find some one else in the Twin Cities with Halo and 4 controllers for some 8 player+ Halo action.

Hehe I don't want to start a flame war between the two . I like them both, but GCN was the system for me. Yah the games you named are all fuggin great. Seriously. Those and Amped. I'm actually stoked cuz my little brothers who live back home are getting an XBOX so i'll still be able to play one. Like I said, it is just preference and I prefer the Gamecube. I'm pissed though cuz I spilled beer in one of hte controllers and the POS is all sticky.
Oh and about the XBOX controller... I do believe to be inferior. It is large, despite what you say. I'm also not a fan of its almost verticle button layout and how the last two are smaller... It is a dreamcast controller that feels bulkier and has two extra black buttons. But i'm not trying to dis the XBOX. I like it! -Kev
