Default will this filter/drier work

Here is a picture of the filter/drier i found. Is this what I need?

IIRC driers use desicants to absorb excess water, so if its fairly old it might already be saturated. I really don't know though.

Dunno.
That's mainly for removing excess water from compressed gas (usually compressed air).
What do you need it for ?

I plan on doing phase change cooling for my pc... I read articles that you need one of those or something.. So I was curious if that's what I need.

Yes... but depends. That's ridiculously huge and tends to be found in multistage cascades or plant installations. For single phase direct die you just want a 15g pencil drier.
