Default Realworld benefits to watercooling GPU ram?

Just curious if anyone has done a scientific study on the benefits of WCing the gpu ram on modern (9500, 9600, 9700, 9800, x800 series ati) video cards.

I haven't noticed much of a different (relative to ram sinks) - less than 0.5% OC different in a very non-scientific comparison.

Has anyone else gotten better data?

well, i got a 9800 non pro, thats doing 400mhz on my 3.3ns ram, im using some pretty big copper ramsinks, and after some time they are getting pretty, hot.

i havent used any voltmods yet, but temperature is becoming a issue after some time at this speed. so i guess that if i could WC the ram i would see at least an improvement in long term stability.

i know that this may not be the info you wanted, but its what i got

PS: if anyone knows how to remove some ramsinks stuck with Arctic Alumina Epoxy plz send me a PM.

Unfortunately its impossible to remove them You should have mixed it with another thermal paste to weaken the bond.

I dont think there would be any great benefits in watercooling the ram. It might help ever so slightly if you vmem modded it, but even using ramsinks is overkill, and ram is designed to run at fairly high temperatures, like mosfets. It'd help marginally, but its most likely a waste of time.

Thats a great opinion and is pretty much what I think, but I'm much rather hear about someone actually testing this. Have you ever WCed your vram? Done a comparison between stock, ram sinks, and WCing?
