Default 63" NEC Monitor

I was reading the Slashdot news awhile ago and I saw something about NEC releasing a new 63 inch monitor , the price was left unrevealed. I dont even think there is a damn tv oupt that big. I think this is plain and simple stupid beyond belief , you could'nt even keep track of everything on the monitor and where would you go upon putting it? Whats your oppinion?

I doubt very much that it's designed for desktop applications. Most likely it's meant for presentation purposes - standing at the end of a corporate boardroom table for showing dull slide shows about corporate things. It'd probably be better than using a projector as you don't have to darken the room like you would when using a projector.

As for TV's... I saw a 62" projection TV in Best Buy recently. It was a monster, and it would look just right in my lounge hooked up to the laserdisk.
