KT7 RAID and OS install problems....
OK...as far as I know I have everything setup on the RAID correctly. fdisk and Partition Magic see the 30 gig drives as one 60 gig drive. My problem is this. I can't install any Operating System on it. I've tried Windows 98, Win98 SE, WinME, and Windows 2000 pro. There is no way that all of my disks have gone bad at once. They've all worked before. SE is giving me I/O errors and won't even run the scan disk, ME freezes up while checking the registry, Win98 doesn't do anything and 2000 just won't run in a DOS enviroment..::mutters::
Suggestions? Anyone? Please? I'm going to go and try partitioning the drive down to 20 gig drives and see if that helps at all. xmykel@hotmail.com |

remember that in a raid only one disk needs to go for the array to fail.
try formating the harddrives, fidisking, and setting them back up in raid. That's really the only thing I can suggest without some extra info (like what, if anything will run on the harddrives, etc.) Having fun, ------------------ ©××××ק=============== »»»»»»»»Cryonosis««««««««« ©××××ק=============== |
