You know Dan it would really help the matter if you listed EVERYONE you are shipping orders to on your website. The only reseller currently listed is D-Tek, they are nice and all but a little bit of a pain in the butt to deal with.

yea they were pretty quick about billing me too, just after I placed my order, I had them partial ship the order. Only now i am getting last part (braket), I am really hoping they will not double bill me or I will be mad.

^ Wow thats weird, since the holes are cut the same time as the profile.
Email us your info, I'll send you another bracket out today. Hope all of D-Teks order is not like that. Operator is suppose to test them after they get off machine. We have some in stock just in case something like this happens. **I just tested from D-Tek order (we keep samples) and bracket seems to fit fine. I think it's just yours...email us your info, thanks. |

dan, is it normal that the fittings dont enter in the outlet or the inlet more than 2 mm ? ( no more than 2 full turns )i have tested qith the fittings shipped with the pumps and with the parker 1/4" ntp fittings, same result. on some of the pumps we recieved here in france ( the melpheos groped order) the fittings doesnt even enter for 1 turn.

here is a picture of the pump with 2 fittings ( the palstic one and a parker cbpl 8/10-1/4")
the blue coating is very fragile, it comes off with the plastic fitting when inserting ![]() |

With metalic fitting (such as the one shown on the picture) you need to go thru a 1/4th turn process which is doing 1/4th turn clockwise, then counter clockwise, clean the threading from additional coating that went off and then one more time etc... Doing so will allow about the same lenght to go into the pump (outlet side only, the inlet side did not prove to have this "problem" ). In case of metallic fitting, some teflon will help for sealing anyway. NPT conical s*x *ss... |

The thread area is NOT anodized, we place grease on them to protect them from the acid.
If we did not, the threads would not be sharp, as the acid causes them to round off or build, and this will cause problems with sealing plastic fittings. The order was place with plastic fittings, and we opitimized for the fittings we provided. Yes, there is a taper, if there was not, the fitting would not get tite. You guys should know, NPT standard is NOT followed very well. Try placing 4 different brand / material 1/4 NPT fittings side by side, and you will see the starting diameter varies. At first we designed for metal fittings, but people where forcing plastic fittings all the way into the impeller (no joke). The feedback we had, showed 90% of the people where using plastic fittings, so we cut back a bit, to have best fit with plastic. If you have a metal fitting, do as suggested above, and run it in and out a bit. Most of the confusion comes from our European customers, which will no longer be a problem, as we now ship to Europe with 1/4 G straight ports ![]() ** AGIACOBBI, you worked on injection molds with NPT threads, could use some advise on three peice mold with interior NPT threads. Having a bitch finding an example ![]() Last edited by Hotseat; 09-01-2004 at 07:36 AM. |

Hey guys speak of fittings, the best I have seen for your application, is the ones D-Tek has (not a plug...really)
There barbed, metal (coated - nickel I think), have a straight thread and an o-ring. Real good ID, and safe on poly tops. Hoping to start making a few thousand for them soon, but our CNC lathe is busy 24 / 7 making.... you guessed it... car parts ![]() Looking for another one now that we have some more room. |

![]() Yet G1/4 straight is too late for us ![]() But you got the point, in Europe, we play by BSP rules... Now => my mail ![]() |

just looked at D-tek information regarding running 2 pumps in series,
if you split the inlet water line ( with Y spliter ), wouldnt that reduce the water going into the pumps... wouldnt it be better to have a separate res, for each pump, thus each pump will get as much water as it requires ? been looking at water cooling for years... just didnt have time or inclination to do it, that line as been reached. mostly will be adding a 6800 cooler in the future, double heater core from DD, RBX.... res for easier living, lets not start a res debate. THanks. |

Is any information available about Mk2 vs. Mk1 flow? A head vs. flow chart for the Mk2 would be a nice thing. Presumably, the manufacturer has that data.

All the pump talk lately got me thinking about buy new pump. So I was looking around and found this guide from C-systems that recommends only parallel pump configuration...??? Did I miss something???
