Default Quick Fittings Size Question

Hey guys I was wondering if any of you knew the inner diameter of the threads for 1/4 and 3/8npt fittings. I have a flow meter here and i cant tell which it is. the pamphlet that comes with it says its either one of these to but i cant discern which one it is. the ID of the threads on the holes are .44-.45 inches.

You can pick up some cheap barbed fittings at your local hardware store, usually. Sounds like you got 3/8 connections.

Hi Max, the ones on the back are 1/4" NPT, the ones on the top/bottom are 3/8" NPT. But, for the actual measurements, this is a good site: http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/np...ds-16_750.html

If the ID of the threaded holes is ~.44" (tapered):
The OD of 1/4 NPT pipe is 0.54"
The ID of 1/4" NPT SCH 10 pipe is 0.410"
The ID of 1/4" NPT SCH 40 pipe is 0.364"
The ID of 1/4" NPT SCH 80 pipe is 0.302"

-->the threaded hole has to be 1/4" NPT if you know it is some size NPT...

mvc, there is no bottom hole on this ones. kinda wierd. the only holes that are usable are on the back. but the good part about all of this is that i will be able to use the turn dial to ajust the flow.

guys ,btw mvc was the nice chap who let me have these. Thanks man.
