Im really happy with opera7 right now, and I have exeem beta right now on my system too. Dont like having too many betas installed at once.

Opera - was quite a while back. The part I really liked was the R/L mouse click forward/back
feature. Will have to give it a try again. |

mouse gestures and right click-wheel to switch between pannels is my favorite
that and default saving of sessions--like if your computer crashes or whatever, your session (back/forward status, open pannels, etc) get saved. Very usefull.

Firefox all the way. Moreso for the cool looking icon Tabbed browsing rules (that is available in a beta of IE 1.whatever). I just wish that when I closed one tab, it would return me to the last tab I was looking at.

I've been using with FF for quite some time, and love it... I recently installed Opera 8.5 BTW, and that's a great browser too... Both of them are much better than IE IMHO

I've been meaning to install Opera8 for a while.
For those who use it, does it fix the problem with printing web pages that have frames? That is pretty much the only bug/annoyance that Opera has, IMO.

Not sure if that was sarcastic or not but yeah websites use frames. The last one's I built with frames has a top frame a left frame and the main frame. If you click a link on the left frame the window opened in the main frame leaving the top and left frame in view. There are better ways to do it than frames though. Most have moved on to better methods.

yes, i think i use it since 7.something.
Mail+RSS feeds are open on the left, and i have ~1024px left for webpages. (was thinking about removing the tab bar, its pretty much pointless )

how do you like the mail client?
I tried using it when 7.0 first came out, but it was too weird. Eventually I just converted entirely to web-based email for all of my accounts because of the convenience.

well. it works for me. Some ppl say its weird/strange/c***/etc. And some other ppl like it.
Mail filters sometimes can act strangely, but after reading the mail filter tutorial at Opera's website i could set it up properly. Can handle large amount of mails&RSS messages without slowing down. Give it a try. As for web-based mails i use one Gmail account for some high traffic mailing lists, and as a "storage" for mails/links/files i might need when im not at home.

IE is best when its disabled completely.
For some reason there are a few sites that I go to that dont work with Firefox though. Must be because they are military sites. |
