The lightbulb just clicked on!
Take a mini camera and mount it inside your case. Hook the camera to the LCD. Voila! You've got video monitoring of your cooling system at all times!

You can get those lcd on ebay as well,
very cool idea, well illustrated on the last page of this month's Maximum-pc magazine. Definitely a solid alternative to the parallel port lcd

I ordered one, and it croaked on me. I have no idea how it croaked, but the display had nothing but vertical lines on it after a while. It was just a big pain in the arse anyway. The extended desktop was a "B", and I tried to get anime clips to play on it exclusively, but I could not get the darn video to stay in one screen and still do regular stuff. I'd launch a 3d game and it wouldnt work properly on the extended desktop either. The game would pop up on the little monitor instead of my big one.
I would rather go with a nice VFD which displays system stats. I initially thought this was a good idea until I tried it. -Ice-
