I've Gradiamated from scool.

Yea! I finished grad school and took the CPA exam, and now I'm pretty much done. Now I get to play with my new 24v PSU and I have time to reconfigure my WC setup, etc. Maybe I'll get a digital camera soon.
Just thought I'd share.

Dude, that's awesome. Congratulations. I aspire to one day be in your position. Just about everyone has a high school education. Some have a college education. You have truly set yourself apart. Once again, congratulations!

thanks guys.

hehe... yeah.. that's a total of six years of COLLEGE for me... which isn't that bad for a bachelor's & master's in accounting, with a tax concentration and a MUSIC minor.. ... all that and I still have time to watercool.

Congrats on graduating, guess you'll have heaps more time for watercooling and other things (heh, what other things).

you got it....

umm.. I've played the French horn for about ten years now. I also took about ten years of piano lessons, but that ended about seven years ago. The horn is my main instrument. I've played just about everywhere. Even across the pond. I practice every single day, even at spring break...

sweet! congrats man! BUT YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE!!!!!! i walk this weekend to graduate from law school. 7 years of school for me baby. still have to take the california bar in july though, so you got me beat there.

and no i'm not going to be an ambulance chaser ... far from it. no litigation or personal injury work for me, i'm trying to stick with corporate/m&a/i-banking etc. working for very small i-banking/venture capital firm right now, but it sucks. might want to do bankruptcy (which looks interesting)

how was that CPA exam Pirate? i hear it is an azzkicker, and not many pass the first time. CA bar is the hardest in the country, so no cake-walk for me either.

i'ma grab a six-pack of sierra nevada (or your fav beer) and down it for ... oh hell, i basically down those for anything hehehe.

congrats. there's a lot of money in anything involving big corporations. especially M&A. Many corps spend more annually in legal fees than mom & Pop operations see in income ever!

the CPA exam is uniform throughout the country. Frankly, I didn't think is was that hard. Grueling, perhaps... It had some pretty hard stuff on it, but if you know it, how hard is it, really?
I think the pass rate for passing all four parts is like 10-13%. To pass any one of the parts, it's like 33%.

I got a case of Corona.

well, i wish you good luck in your results. i also hear if fail one part, you only need to retake that part and not the whole test. wish the bar was that way hehe.

word of advice from someone who has graduated college long ago ... pick your school and major wisely. a college degree doesn't get much these days, at least in so cal where there are so many good reputable schools. pick a major very closely related to what you want to do, and work, intern, whatever in that field starting at least in your junior year. there are lot of people graduating from uc schools, which are highly regarded here in cali, that don't have a job because they didn't really get the work experience first. but the several that did got offers from those companies when they graduated.

excellent advice.

also: remember this--you can spend five years working towards a degree/field of study that will pay you well, or you can spend that same time earning a degree that won't. For instance, if you teach high school around this part of NC, you start out at about 20-23K. Add ~3K to that if you have a Master's. It doesn't matter if you teach home econ. or physics.

Congrats guys...I just wish I was out of highschool. My highschool is gonna turn into hell soon, government agents walked on campus and hung out all day without being stopped or even talked to by the administration so the California Supreme Court wants to fence off the perimeter of the school, install security cameras, and metal detectors. If ya ask me thats just rediculous! I live in a tiny white trash town with little violence on campus and they want to install security cameras and metal detectors!! AAAGH!
