Standalone PSU
Hi,
I am watercooling my 2000xp from beneath, rad, pump and resevoir enclosed in a stand on which the PC sits on. My question is this : I want cool to my rad with 4 80mm's, how do I wire a power supply so it is grounded ( lol ) and runs without being attached to a motherboard. I am hoping it can be done ... I already bought the Panaflo's. I looked around and didn't see this article. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanx |

its called an AT power supply. you know...has a big red on/off switch on it. just look around for a used one (free is even better) local computer stores are a pretty good place to start. any amount of watts is good because 4 panaflos use barely anypower at all
good luck Last edited by tim-may; 06-12-2002 at 06:01 AM. |

actually if you can find an atx psu with a switch in the back you can do the wire trick... just attach a wire from the any of the black pins to the green one and your all set. The wires/connector/molex of some sort that attaches to the mobo I mean.
