Default LED heat...

I know that leds output very little heat, but I have a project in mind which would use a very large quantity of leds, basically it'd be a large array of them controlled by a motorolla 68hc12 microcontroller. So, how much heat would 128, 256, or even 512 perhaps (yes, powers of 2 for a reason) output?

Offhand .014 each LED or:

128: 1.8 Watts
256: 3.6 Watts
512: 7.2 Watts

This would be on the high side, unless you're using laser LEDs. You should be able to lookup the actual specs of the LEDs you intend to use.
