Hey, i've had my Classic Slot A Athlon 650 running at 750 for a while now (via 115MHz fsb), and i've decided to buy a GFD to get that speed up.
I've opened it up and looked at the core, and its definately a 650 ![]() I've heard of these doing 850 easily, but I just wondered if anyone actually has one of these chips running at that.. or higher?. Im using a globalwin FKK50 to cool this btw, seems perfectly adequate. Cheers. ------------------ - Classic Athlon 650@750 w/ Globalwin FKK50, 256mb PC133, 32Mb Geforce 2 GTS, 40.9gb Maxtor DiamondMax 60+, 10gb Fujitsu Picobird, Pioneer DVD103-S, Ricoh RW7120A 12x burner, IBM Etherjet 100mbps NIC, Blueyonder 512kbps cable modem, top 92mm exausting blowhole, front 80mm intake, side 92mm intake blowhole, rear 60mm exaust, rear card exaust, blue orb on video card, heatsinks fitted to 756 chipset and PLL IC. Runs at 35^C full load. |

Dude... don't be bummed about a 650 core. Those go pretty high. If you wanna hit 770+, you'll probably have to adjust the cache. My 500 is at 750 w/ only one of those RDJD hsfs... but it does get REALLY hot.
