Alumium box
ive got a nice big 1/16 inch alimium box. since i found it somewhere stored for like 8 years it got a bunch of stuff on it. i was thinking of polishing it but i dunno if i should give it the burshed look like lian cases. What do you think? id give a pic but i cant right now. It is solid on 5 sides and opens up on one.. here is a kind of ghetto pic i made. yeah it bites. what im wondering is how should i mount the computer, the back end in the swing open door or have the front covered and to access things like the cd rom you have to swing open the front door (wich i might key lock). so there are 2 options:
1) Front of computer in solid side 2) Front of computer in side with door.

I'd convert it so that the side opens, or leave that door in the back, so that you can pull out the motherboard tray that you'll be making...

yeah, i realized i can make a tray that slides out, i can attack the motherboard to it and other things. I just have to drill out all the rivites and put in bolts to change anything. heres a pic of it:

You might consider something simpler: just use the door as a front cover. That would mean building a computer frame (removable) inside your box. Then, all you'd have to do is either cut some holes in the door for CD-ROM and floppy, or even simpler, just put a window in the door.

yeah ive been going though a lot of designs.. and im stuck on one. i have a new frame that ill strip to metal and it fits very well inside. so im going to put on something that slides out and there we go. the front w/ cd-roms will be in the window and the back will be cut out.
