Wanted to let everyone know that I am writing on my PC-50 (Project Pro/LAN I have named it now) and hopefully it will be posted within a week. The staff have been editing and critiquing it as I go, so it should be ready pretty quickly. I have one remaining task to complete and then I can just type it up.
Currently in "overextended" hell; more stuff on my desk with near deadlines than I can even see in one glance. So I may take a little while to respond to e-mails. On a more interesting note, I learned a few things about TBreds. According to the tech docs, there is no difference in the heights of the XP vbs. TBred chips, so that doesn't explain the high temperatures. I remain convinced that the Innovatek isn't getting good contact with the core, however. I have a modification to the block to try and if that fails I am going to try another block (Maze2). This sounds like a good Saturday night project to me ![]() I have a Swiftech pelt baseplate and a 226W peltier in the mail. One way or another, I WILL cool this damn chip. |

not so bad
with a TEC a uniform heat flux is a design goal - for BOTH sides and the Watt density is fairly low - that's a pretty good wb for such |

no no I will be using the Swiftech block, cold plate, and peltier eventually. In the short term, I wanted to try a block that mounts using the 4 socket holes to see if poor contact explains the high CPU temps.

I am gonna see if the chip will work in my 8K7A. If so I'll see if the Swiftech block makes a difference.

Didn't get the chance to do this on yesterday. I DID send Joe an article detailing the construction of my project case, however. Hopefully he'll get that formatted soon and posted. Back to grant writing for me

You guys are in US. Grant acceptance rate in the 10-15% range. Not worth the trouble. If you guys need to make money via testing, then the answer is simple. Spend your effort not on methodology or statistics, but on a "Editor's choice" logo.

You want an example of a place that the Law does very little to put pressure on crime ridden areas? just look in good Ole Detroit. What a merry place that is ![]() Who gave OCWC a "best" award?

Best not to look to Detroit for guidance (in ANYTHING). Many other countries get by fine without such a sizable fraction of their population in custody, though. Maybe could take a look at those locales.
Hint: real wars are between two or more nations; not between a nation and controlled substances or terrorists. Wars on drugs and terror are designed to never end and require ever-increasing manpower and financial support. |
