Default Getting closer...

So, i'm close to being done, I may have fubar'ed my Pay Pal transaction so i'm working on straightening that out. Will pick up a MaxiJet 1200 this week and buying hose. Also will finish the soldering of the fittings onto the radiator. So I've drawn a nice little visual diagrahm of how i'm running it all together, take a look, comment if need be.

Light Blue - Water from radiator into waterblock
Yellow and Red - Water from outlet of waterblock into res tank and pump
Dark Blue - Res tank
Green is the pump itself

I'm not a fan of T-Lines, so suggest it if you must

Looks good to me. I'm assuming your return line drop is spaced that far out to accomodate a fan/shroud?

Will the inlet/outlet on your res be offset greatly to promote the escape of bubbles?

Other way around, forgot to mention it. Thats the inlet for the heater core actually... Its done like that because the pipes coming out of the heater core are too long and interfere with the motherboard. So I decided to just have it where the water pump is underneath, and shots straight upward.

Yeah, there will be something setup to keep the bubbles out of the system.

Made a simple diagrahm of a res tank I may build for this setup.

I would advise against letting the water splash into the res: it causes unnecessary bubbles, which you are trying to get rid of.

I can see the PVC drain tee in there... I just finished my res, out of PVC parts. I'll have to post a pic soon.

Yeah, splashing bad....

It actually would depend on where the fill point physically is...cause I want the CPU in point in water, but thats how I felt like drawing it like that.

I may dig up my old PVC res tank and retrofit it as it was of similar design, but poorly designed for filling.

Screw the Swiftech Pump Relay...I found this:

Its a relay circuit I made for an audio amplifier. Just what I need to turn on my water pump.

Great. Now put it in your PSU, and add an outlet to the front of it, for an "internal, switched outlet".

There isn't enough room in the PSU, its an Antec Smart Power with two fans.

It'll be in a little box right above the 80mm exhaust fan cage with a little switch on it so I can prime the pump when the computer is off.

It had to be an Antec... (good PSU, but no room!)

Yup, I opened it up last week cause I dropped a screw in it...saw how much room was in there...

But i'm currently looking for a really small Radio Shack project box I have laying around...so far, no luck...but I'm finding a bunch of other crap I boxed away that could be useful though

This setup is gonna put my first setup to shame, it'll be cleaner, safer, and all sorts of sweet like.

Thanks, first SX600 I've seen EVAR watercooled. What tubing is that your using?

You also cut a MUCH larger hole in the front than I did

Yeah, you should see my Socket 7/370 waterblock hold down I made back in the day. The only thing I bought were the wingnuts...cause they look cool and work great.

Sadly I've slowed down some...and I'm still waiting on my waterblock, it should be here today...I hope...if not, i'll have to wait till Monday if UPS doesn't deliver tomorrow.

Here is where the relay box will be mounted:

And the PSU 120v power cable, the pictures were too bright and required adjustment.

Just finished and tested my pump relay...the prime switch and all Damn i'm good

The waterblock is here, but its at UPS and won't be delievered until Monday...after that, I just have to cut and run tubing so I can solder the radiator up with the 1/2 barbs and build the resevoir. Then onto the leak testing.

Here it is, all nice and mounted.

And here is a leak/test boot setup. I couldn't get all the air out, but I booted it anyway...it didn't go...put the heatsink back on and it came up with "CPU Speed or DRAM Incorrect Setting" error...which is strange cause I didn't touch anything. Oh well, gives me another chance to unlock the CPU.
