Default PSU cable sleeving

Does anyone know if new power supplies have the molex connectors permanently fixed in place? Ive tried everything and cannot for the life of me push them out of the plastic housing...

Im hoping I dont have to snip off all the molex connectors and put on new ones to do this mod:P

If you look down into the front of them you'll see a little copper sprung/tag poking out, it stops the 'Cu tube' slipping back through. insert a very small precision screwdriver down and lever it flush with the tubular conector and slip them out individualy...

Is that what you meant?...

oooh, pls be very careful to put those wires back in molex plastic housing in the right order! I know a guy who didn't. Told him that computer works fine as long as the white smoke is INSIDE the case, not going outside...

I was thinking of the same thing, put those wires through the heatshrink and put the molex back, but didn't want to hassle with 300 W task psu... Maybe with something of more quality and power... more permanent...

Good luck!!!

/edit/ I did the thing with my IDE and floppy cable, take off the connector, strip the cable into 6 or 8 pieces, through the heatshrink, and the hardest thing, put back connector. The result is...negotiable...good but not rounded as I wanted it...

LOL. funny you should mention that. On saturday I did some changes to my setup and one of those was sleeving the fan molex connectors.. (the PSU sleeving was too much for me as Id been already at it for close to 4 hours.. maybe next weekend). and I put the wires on the wrong end of the molex connector...

Im LUCKY I tried to push the machine out of the way to get at some cables about 2 hours later. Almost burnt my hand on the rad which was HOT to the touch. Checking on the cpu I noticed it was at 71 degrees and rising. Fans werent on because of my mistake.. PHEW:P
