The DDR-2 delay is, IMO, a big factor. I wouldn't be surprised to see rumors flying around that Intel had something to do with it, just to stall AMD. NVidia is already paying the price for it.

The current memory controller on the clawhammer can NOT handle DDR2, so it's a moot point, though it may have been enough for them to shorten immediate production and hold their current stocks until closer to the DDR2 release (for a seamless transition into the DDR2/90nm hammer next spring, if that ever happens). The current batch, though, can't use it, so DDR2 isn't a direct factor on their current product, except maybe as something they want to time closer to for product release strategy (damn marketing bastards).

Now here is a stupid question to you all...

Why does it still stand (C) 1999 on a cpu that is made inn 2003?
Is it only the Athlon name that they are copyrighting, hehe..
