I dont know about 156watt Peltiers, but i have a 80watt from Tedist connected to my 300watt Aopen @12v. I use a coldplate of about 3mm thick. Idle in windows i have about -23 C. In full load i have 6 C. I have a Celeron 667@950 at 1.75 V.
