Yes, I also own that card.. got it from buy.com, with their $20 coupon got it for $226... not bad for a DDR, especially.
I love this card. The only negative (can you check to see if this happens to you as well?) think I've experienced is once in a while the Start menu button 'flashes' as well as other things.. I've checked the FAQ and they've hinted it's a driver problem, but I've changed to the latest reference drivers and it's still there... not the worst problem, but slightly annoying once in a while - your eye catches it and goes right to it. |

Well its time for Pro Cooling to get into the hardware testing and review phase of this scene.
I will be doing a review and test of the folowing cards in the coming weeks: Creative Labs DDR Hauppauge Win TV DBX Matrox G400 MAX Matrox Rainbow Runner Gseries DVE kit and anything else I run across. I need to get my test systems built and running first. I have sent emails and requests to a few of the best companies in the ind to get some hardware donated for it. I picked a couple companies that many havent heard of but make some DAMN good equiptment. Should be interesting. Joe ------------------ C-ya Joe |

I am sending the DDR back.
I know I am gonna get some flak from this but: That GeForce DDR card stinks. After a day or so of testing ,it didnt amaze me as everyone said it would, its drivers are unstable under 2000, my matrox G200 did better 2D, and the 3d was only a little better then what my SLI V2's did. Not worth the 300$ and the total lack of features (TVout, TVin, etc...) I am ordering a Matrox G400Max, and a Matrox Marvel G400-TV to see which I like more. I will have a review posted for these cards though rather soon. ------------------ C-ya Joe [This message has been edited by Joe (edited 02-28-2000).] |

And the video card saga continues:
I am gonna pick up a Voodoo3 3500-Tv to test (and return) I have ordered a Matrox G400-TV to test and possibly keep and I am going to be ordering a matrox G400Max32mb and a Rainbowrunner GS to test and possibly keep. I did take the Geforce and the TV card back today, the geek behind the desk didnt even check to make sure there was a video card still in the box.. geez must not be to worried I have some of the review done for the Win TV-DBX card and the CL Annihilator Pro. I need to switch back to NoF4 first. ------------------ C-ya Joe |

Banshee PCI, If its PCI then your agp setting is not applicable.

Pfft...
Radeon.. yeh right. Sorry I was a hardcore 3Dfx man, but I am jumping on the Nv bandwagon very soon. now that the V5-6000 is scrapped theres no reason to stay with a company on the verge of going tits up. BUT their v5-5500 WILL be in the Dh3 box just cause H2O cooling 2 video chips is just bad ass ------------------ C-ya Joe |

If ZDNet's report here is true then noone will be able to catch up, though that is most likely BS and all false. Though for right now I like the Radeon, a good card for the $$ and has its' share of features.
Someone said that the V5 6K was not totally dead ... not sure never read all the way through the post, might be true, then again might not, Will dunno. [This message has been edited by Will (edited 11-26-2000).] |

v5 6k isn't dead, it will just be made by quantum 3d. however this means that you might not be able to buy one for a normal computer, quantum 3d deals alot with high end simulation type stuff.
hehe, speaking of high end, I want to see quantums 32 vsa100 graphics solution, potential for FSAA 100x with 100+FPS in any game at 1600x1200. Definatly sweet. But then agian it will be a pretty penny, and will more than likely only be for their simulation hardware. *sigh* well, I know I'll still be dreaming about it, Cryo |

okay kiddies here is what I am talking about, drool before this graphic cards might!!!!!
snipet from 3Dn News ( http://www.3dnews.net/ ): "As expected Quantum3D are now rolling out new models in the AAlchemy family using this new licensed technology and they sure know how to make the chips count. The flagship AAlchemy TX 8464 graphics subsystem uses sixteen 3dfx VSA-100 chips, a total of 1,024 MB of graphics memory and GB/sec of dedicated graphics memory bandwidth. " mmmmm, 16 proccessors. they also have an 8-way and a 4-way in the AAlchemy series, I want one!, Cryo |

They already have a 32way out. with 2Gig of ram I believe.
But it costs 40k$ and consumes like some massive 2Kwatts of juice. ------------------ C-ya Joe |
