![]() ![]() I'll see if I can get DF put into the next build for the machines at work. That will add about 2500 machines! Shame I don't have control over all the global machines as that would give me about 65000! ![]() Last edited by Darkhorse; 10-18-2003 at 05:35 AM. |

Just make sure you get permission from someone who can actually give it

Thanks for the concern, but I am the someone that gives permission!
![]() Just need to be very careful that it doesn't do anything strange to any of the users PC's. I'll run it up on the PC's in my dept first and then the test machines. |

Hey dark I once said something just like that, and you know what? it didnt fly, bad stuff happened.
Better make sure your boss or the person you report to knows about it, just so you have something to fall back on when the shit does hit the fan.

I think you may be right.
I'll get the lads to run it in my dept and leave it at that. At least they are techies and will know how to shut it down should it cause problems. Looks like you get to hang on to the #1 spot for a bit longer ![]() |

Its prolly way more than you would think for the total output since they are all P4's.
Just a rough off hand guess and calc.exe like 270Ghz ![]()

Do not understand your problem very well. recommend that before re-installing anything else, you do reboot the machine immediatelly after removing any program that has been installed as a service.
As for a program to monitor progress there is the nice program called "Distributed Folding GUI" by Jeff Gilchrist, that I personally use. You can download it here

Clone I have that problem as well.
after uninstalling the service... reboot. then you can reinstall the service and all will be good.

You have the folder where the distributedfolding is:
Let's say it is named fold. Make a copy of fold and rename it fold2. (I assume that the one on fold is already installed as a service) Open a command line, and go to foldit2. Write this: foldtrajlite /install2 Restart I think that resumes it. |

I've slowed down to save on power - take advantage while you can.
And I do have a couple hundred K points sitting on a flash drive... |
