The guy who posted the issue on the [H]|F smelled his Res and it no longer 1. had color or 2. smelled live piss/vomit like WW does.

as 4 my vinyl tubing when I did a project, it turned from clear to opaque at the ends that sat in the res.

(every bend is with a copper elbow, and every run of tubing is perfectly straight) but i will let you know about how it bends n stuff.
chaos, i may be wrong, and if i am please correct me, but am I correct in assumeing that you intend to take a copper elbow, and attach silicon tubing to it for eavery bend? When i said leak prone, i meant at the joints between the copper elbow and the tubing. Is this sorta what you had in mind?:

yup, every bend is a copper elbow, copper elbows = MUCH less flow restriction.

check out mashies setup here: http://mashie.glassbil.net/casemods/syrinix.htm

putting 3/8 silicone on 3/8 elbows makes a very tight fit, it would be hard to make it leak.

mashie uses 1/2 on 1/2 which is the same thing

i hope this tygon is as stretchy as silicone, then i could do the same.

it's even easier with street elbows because you only need to put one piece of tubing on the elbows.

street elbows are intended for one end of the fitting to be inserted into another fitting. therefore, because of part of the elbow being the same diameter as the tubing itself, it is unnecessary and impossible to have 2 pieces of copper tubing inserted into the fitting.

1/2" silicone fits very well onto 15mm pipe, in fact it is near impossible to put on or take off

what about skipping the silicon/vinal all togather and just going with pipes alone. I know it would require some planning and may be a pain in the ass to bend, but it would look really cool, and cool the water a little more as it flows through your system.

It can also cool the ambient air temp in your case

hey you are =) if i hadnt seen your setup, i would have never started using copper elbows.

15mm od copper is the same thing as the 1/2" copper elbows they sell in hardware stores around here... or very close atleast
