Yes, you probably right, I'll take this ugly non-mother-nature-product into the deep woods and leave it

the pump is Maxi-Jet 1000, made in Italy. Its pretty quiet adthough I don't have any experience with others (found Eheims, seen the price). This one is about 1/3 of a price for an Eheim

That computer looks demented. That is definitely something I would like on my desk at work to scare the technophobes away! Good job with that flowmeter, btw. It looks better than the kits you can buy online.

I'd put a skirt around it, but then again, it might look too girly...

Speaking of which, does anyone remember the Barbie PC? Directron got a hold of their overstock, and are selling them for 'bout $150 each (I'm not affiliated with them!). They scratched off all the markings, and renamed it the Burbie PC... I was thinking about picking one up, but I couldn't stand anyone knowing that I've got a Barbie PC!

Just popped into my mind:

in this setup without a res, I noticed that all the little bubbles of remaining air after filling the system were caught in circular motion by the fan impeller and accumulated in the top of the flow sensor case - so even without a res the system bleeds itself automatically. All I had to do is shake the rig around and get rid of accumulated air through the fill pipe.
After a day or two of operation, no more bubbles in the system.

I found something here but you'll have to extract the relevant part of it for your application.

If you're not sure how, let me know.

I totaly missed this thread, and just the link today on virusxxx thread.
Great job my friend, love the flow meter. You ever thought of installing fan that read rpm's and use it like that, it would be cool to watch rpm in mbm (even calculate real flow once calibrated) ,and if flow stopped somehow mbm could shut your comp off or at least sound the alarm

That is something I'm planning to try to make soon. I'm planning to drill the block for chipset, and then to disassemble the whole thing, and install flow meter mk2, with temp probe and complete electronics already built in the fan, nicely coated with silicone to make it waterproof.

When I'm done, comes the pics and numbers!

Cheers!

As long as it's quiet and portable for lan's...I'm satisfied

And sweet or ugly, it certainly draws attention...

So, I'm double satisfied!

Hmmm, svakako i nikako...

this is public forum, so I think we should continue in english...

I think that people will understand, it is much, much easy to write on your first lenguage!

Sorry guys!!

Well, Practice Makes Perfect - PMP(tm)

I have found an Eheim 1046 in the Pet Centar in Osijek, (www.pet-centar.hr), there is also one of their shops in Zagreb, but they don't have the pumps on their web shop. You'll have to make some telephone calls... The price was 450 kn (roughly 53$), and I asked around in several more pet shops, they told me that it can be done by order, but the prices ranged from 500 kn (58$) to 550 kn (64$) for 1046. I didn't even ask for 1048 or stronger...

as for the blocks, good for you! Post the pics, temps, and I'll be glad to see what that blocks look in the inside, so do a little drawing!

Cheers!

And for maxy jet 1000 I payed 220 kn.

As i look further, I find that almost everything is cheaper somewhere else but here

In that shop, the guy said to me that that 1046 they have is sitting on the shelf for maybe 2 years, and they don't want to order another model unless paid in advance... when I took the box in my hands, it was all dusty. I'm not surprised nobody bought it. Nether did I.

I think I'm going to buy another MJ1000, and put it in series like you did. I'm pretty satisfied with one I have, and the price for the second one is just right.
