I fixed my dually, I had a 256mb DDR chip die, removed it and all was good.

Default IS HARD OCP CHEATING?????

Hey is Hard Ocp cheating if you look at there page alot of those guys that have generated a ton of structures have 99.999 for there best delta thing. Are they cheating or why do some of there scores suck so bad?

Smells fishy, I will inquire with the techies behind the folding. It seems, to me at least, that even a couple of structs, maybe a few thousand would yeild a lower RMS statistically speaking, I couldn't see how all those people generating millions and millions of structs couldn't get at least 10-12 on the RMS. I mean I practically had 10.5 something on my first upload. Then again, those are [H] computers, so if they are anything like their owners, then that would explain why they don't work right

Ok Ok Ok, as much as I like being a warmonger of the sorts, , I will admit there is a rather simple answer that was explained to me from the people behind the folding project in an email back. Check it.

No, nothing fishy.
The # strucs is since the beginning of the project. The Best RMSD applies to the current protein only. The 99'ers have simply stopped doing the project (for whatever reasons).

Just when I thought I could go do something bad......

Alright you folding freaks!!!!

How do you enable SMP folding on a duely system?

Just setup my Dual PIII 1Ghz server to start folding and it is only using (1) CPU.

Ok That just SUCKS!

Just tried to run multiple instances of the client on my server and was told that the only way to make it work in SMP is to install ANOTHER copy of folding and run TWO separate instances.

I am beginning to not like this project...................................
(then again it might just be me)

EDIT:
Just activated the second client. NOT too happy about having to do it that way but it does give me a reason to have 1 Gig of RAM in my server

And what's so bad about that? I haven't seen a DC client that doesn't do it that way yet... It works just as well and is just as efficient as multi-threading the app.

RC5 client supported my dually just fine. Then again, it was writen to run on MANY different platforms.

Oh well, I just dont like "cluttering" up my server with excessive processing threads. Call me crazy..........

EDIT: I think SETI also supports SMP......

(1) Dual PIII 1Ghz Server
(1) PIII 850 Workstation (screensaver mode, for looks )

Will be adding more when possible.
