I think this is WAY off base, for several reasons
understand that I have had dealings with quite a number of mfgrs, a number of whom for some years put on your mfgrs hat and try to view this exercise from their perspective: exhibit 1 has got to be that grand repository of carefully maintained ignorance, the hard forums - some kiddie screws up a product, issues a red alert 'shit product warning' to his buddies - and they rant for pages - or has a genuine problem, issues a red alert 'shit product from shit mfgr warning' - and they rant for pages - and if the mfgr attempts to respond in any fashion, the kiddies gather and have a circle dump -- my point being that some don't know enough to ask a good question, or understand an answer when (or if) provided exhibit 2 has got to be that grand repository of all the world’s present and future WCing knowledge, the procooling forums - some 'pro' gets a bee-in-his-bonnet and denounces a wb's conceptual design basis - another says no, but 'it looks like shit' - and yet another says no, 'the designer's a shit' -- here the specialty is picking the pepper out of the fly shit exhibit 3 is the home of the 3 monkeys, hear-no-evil, see-no-evil, speak-no-evil overclockers - where anything is ok so long as it is not critical note that I'm referring to the forums, much could be written about these sites, except this one which does no reviews more seriously, a good informative post requires a bit of research and some carefully crafted writing and then come the questions, some from the terminally ignorant and others chasing irrelevant minutiae - how can a mfgr (whose sales depend also on his 'image') possibly devote enough time to this task to do it well ? and why blackball a mfgr who does not wish to attempt the impossible ? answering questions does NOT equate to wb performance (never tested one yet that could talk) focus on identifying: what you need to know what you would like to know do the collar and cuffs match |
