Do you think a jig saw will do the trick on cutting the copper.
Also If Im going to make me a hard drive block what thickness of copper should I get. And Im making a rotor design what type of drill bits do you guys use. I though I read in anther post wood bits is that true. |

rather use a hack-saw....
it's not really wood bits... though it commonly is used on wood... when at the hardware store... ask for high-speed steel bits.... they are adequate for doing the job and not too expensive.... something like this

Ok thanks also instead of making lots of little holes can I just make the holes bigger will that affect anything and how deep should I get the holes. Aslo how do I sand down the edges so it looks nice.

LOL guys,
She's a strong woman, She can cope with few more essential powertools in our small community... ![]() ![]() We are thinking of buying an older house instead of apartement, and old houses needs repairing, repairing needs tools. Also, house means having a front yard, a garage (to put the tools in) and ofcourse, back(junk)yard for all the things that will come handy one day...Do you think it's a good idea to buy a 1000$ used mill to make the door plate with our name on it? I think it's worth a try... ![]() winewood, don't forget the mill ![]()

Jewfro, press is $90 from sears. im not sure what tap set you're referring to. i bought a $17 set form sears that has an 8-36 tap for the set screws. i also bought a $7 tap for the barbs form McMaster.
krisco, the 4 set screws keep it together. i have GOOP for sealing.
