I updated the dimentions for the video card holes, They are in 'standard' and metric.
Included is a picture(jpg) and a zipped drawing(dxf) Enjoy Jon |

This may have been said already, what size holes are used in 9700 and nf7-s for mounting the gpu and chipset heatsinks? I think i measured them at 2/3mm but lost the paper I wrote it on. Also for 2/3mm which size BA studding and tap will I need?
Also Id like to know the same for hdd mounting holes. |

Can this Intel P4 Socket478 dimensions be considered as close to being exact?
Please correct the dimensions. Thanks P.S. Oh yes I have the dimensions w/c pHaestus posted, but it seems to be off a bit and there is no info on where is the location of the P4 heatspeader or CPU itself. Last edited by j813; 05-02-2004 at 03:33 AM. |

Just to add some info to this thread. The Shuttle range of PC's. They use an Ice heatpipe system as standard for the CPU, but if replacing it with a water block the mounting holes are the standard P4 spacing.
This applies whether it is an AMD XP or Intel P4 CPU. Cannot comment though on the Athlon 64 version whether this is different. |

You'll find a lot of information, if you just read a thread before you post in it. Someone else asked the same question already (on this same page even!), it was answered already, and the requested information was already in the thread.

Hoisted on my own petard - I should have looked to see if the image was still there.
Edit -- tried to attached a pic, but the button didn't do anything. So I dug around, and here's the the relevant pdf. Last edited by Groth; 05-25-2004 at 11:37 AM. Reason: Why doesn't my "Manage Attachments" button work? |

hole measurements are diameter
the one you are asking about (marked red) is the same diameter as the one on the other side of the GPU. (they are normally used to hold the regular heatsink on) |

I was looking for information about the Opteron/AMD64/FX mounting holes and I finally found it in an amd pdf. The outside two holes are a distance of 88.9mm and in the exact center. For a complete diagram look on page 71 of this pdf:
