hmmm. well, I was referring to my 120mm fans... maybe it's different for little fans. remember when I was asking whether or not I should get a panaflo H1A and downvolt it or a L1A??? You guys said to get the L1A for various reasons.
12v pumps in general are not favorites amongst this forum. ![]()

Gees you guys are so strickt.
Well I havent gone to Home Depot yet, so maybe they will have a lower GPH pump. As for now, the lowest ive seen is the 600, Which is alot better then a 950 |

note; I'm refering to brushed dc motor based pumps here, brushless fans and mag coupled pumps have a far greater MTBF. |

wow. dude, you've gotta go for the 1200GPH. ...jk...
250 or 350 would be fine. It really depends on how many blocks you've got and how complicated your system is. The bigger the pump, the more vibration/noise/heat it will produce. If you've got a simple system without 90 degree bends and such, you could probably use 3/8" hose and a smallish pump and do just great. 3/8" hose would produce alot of backpressure if you try to cram alot of water through it. If you've got alot of shiet in your PC, run 1/2" ID hose w/ 5/8" OD barbs, and use the 350 pump. Bigger hose = less backpressure and so it can handle more GPH w/ less strain on the pump. I've got about 12 feet of 5/8" & 1/2" hose in my setup, so my eheim 1250 (317GPH???) is really helpful. The flow rate is kindof pathetic with all that hose, but my temps are quite good.

Brad: sure, it moves more quietly. BUT it only moves air through whta, an Heatsink? how much resistance will that make? if you used is as a pump to move water, ill bet on that the YStech would be more efficient at 12v than the delta at 7v. but the i guess, those fans aint waterproof.

Dtek sells the 250GPH model in their 1/2" kits, so either of those pumps will be find depending on your setup. you'll have to get barbs for the pump (home depot or Lowes for like $1.60 each), and you'll need to seal the housing so it doesnt leak (Permatex water pump and thermostat housing RTV silicone, $2 at any auto-parts store). while youre at the hardware store, pick up some Teflon tape to seal the barbs to the housing (only use teflon tape, do not use a silicone sealer to seal the barbs). some ppl have also glued their impellers to the magnet on the shaft to reduce 'clatter' (i havent noticed this, so i left mine alone). Well Im thinking aobut getting the 350.
Ill be running a Maze3, a GF3 D-Den block, Black Ice Pro (Blue ![]() My case is really small to enclose all the stuff, Im thinkin Im gonna mount the rad on the top. This is kinda what my case looks like, except the support bar though the middle is moved up about 2 inches. So I have some room under the HDD rack. |

If you did not buy the heatercore yet I suggest saving about $20 on one at an autoparts store.

yeah... save your $$$. just about any HC from auto shop will keep up w/ BI. The Ford Econoline van HC is big, and has two 5/8" fittings, which tygon/silicon 1/2" hose fit over.
the 350 would be perfect for that setup. also, you may want to re-read this thread.... I have a big case, but the WC stuff is a pain to work around, so I moved everything into its own box. ...just read this. http://forums.procooling.com/vbb/sho...&threadid=3185

my dad has one of these for whatever reason, and it pumps 1290gph AT 15 FEET! THATS INSANE!, we used it lately to fill our pool and boost the waterflow into the pool, its pretty insane!, its got hose connectors like you use on a faucet and sprinklers and whatnots, its QUITE loud! VERY loud! especially for watercooling!!!

I hope everyone here has the good sense not to try to use one of these in a WC system....
87 watts? 1140 GPH, direct drive? Give me a break. You try to cram that kind of flow down a 1/2" pipe, and either your pump will burn out or your system will leak everywhere. Either way, your water temps will be too high.
