It's kinda hard to tell without an inlet geometry, and without any pump info.

I'd venture a guess at 3mm. Could be higher.

okay, pump wise, im gonna use a Ehiem1250.

and for inlet geometry, it will be a bunch of little circles in a 1/2" diameter circle. This will be placed in thick lexan.

Well your biggest issue before continuing is how to make something like that.

Yep.

It looks like you have a sharp angle between the pyramids, and that bit won't do that, without leaving a gap.

Otherwise, a 2 mm bp might work well here, but I'd try 3.0, then 2.5 first.

the only thing that i am dubious about this design are the holes. imo those holes could make the water get stagnant.

if i were you, i would make only holes above the cpu die and not that deep.

if you want to catch some idea, the dimplets i and hara designed for our water block with you can see in the avatar are 0.7mm diameter and 0.3mm deep. we were planning to make them even smaller about 0.4mm each in diameter, but our machinist did not have that type of mills.

Safely? Without breaking?

It depends on your equipment.

If you have a controlled feed rate, your lowest feed rate is your limit, if you can calculate the rest.

If you're feeding it by hand, you're on your own

I have seen them down to .005" dia. The length of cut is only like .010". I sure would not want to run one tho
