OK...my four replacement screw finally arrived today and the installation was done. It was not as flaw free as I had hoped though. Since I'm not big on removing the whole system, I submerged my month old Hydor L25 in a bucket of distilled water and removed the barbs. Next, I assembled the C-Systems pump as directed and hooked it up by placing it too in the water and worm clamping the tubes on the barbes. Fired it up and it worked. Problem was, there was a leak on the back side of the housing. I disassemebled and assembled it once more, and same place had a slow leak...no matter how tight I made the screws.

Not to be deterred, I removed the housing and placed plumbers goop inside the housing to make sure there was a water tight seal. Given, I can no longer take the pump apart to replace anything as a result of the goop, but I don't really have a reason to take it apart anyway. Assembled it once again, and no leaks from the housing. But then I noticed an even smaller leak coming from where the power cord goes through the housing. No problem, just applied some more plumbers goop.

After two hours, no more leaks. Although, I don't think it should have leaked to start with and it should not have taken two hours to get it working correctly.

As for its operation....QUIET. You can only tell it's running by touching the pump or looking at the moving bubble in my Bay Res.

As for performance, the only thing different in my setup is the pump. My old temps used to idle at 45C and now they idle at 43C. A 2C improvement I will take. Plus it is much qieter than the Hydor and MUCH smaller. I had to place shipping foam on the bottom of my case, as the pump was so small that it wasn't touching the bottom as the Hydor used to. Not sure if the temp drop is a result of the pump flow or just a result that the pump runs at a lower wattage.

Just my non-professional thoughts on this pump's performance. Not bad for the same price as a Hydor L20.

Uhmm it's kind of really bad that it LEAKED, I know you fixed it, but they shouldn't leak!

You shouldn't have gooped it but RMA'ed it.
Anyway, that's what I would have done.
No matter the value or the nature of the article, it's new and should work flawless...

Just my 0.02 Euro...

If it was leaking out of where the wires go in, I think you have water in the motor as well, meaning the shaft seal is leaking. Definitely contact the company, it needs to be fixed.

Yeah, forgot to mention your pump has indeed a big flaw, and gooping it just voided your warranty...
Of course, 35.99$ (about 30 Euro) isn't the end of the world but nevertheless....

Flawed? Yes. But with the shipping time to and from Canada, I wasn't in the mood to wait about four weeks for them to receive it and then mail a replacement. I might not even have this thing then.

My current computer upgrade plans don't include water as I'm looking at going SFF to make lan parties MUCH easier, particularly Antecs new Micro ATX case. This water thing was kind of my last foray into the old box concept. As long as this thing works for a month or two, then I'm fine with it.

I'll have to figure out some use for these two water pumps I have now. Maybe put in a fountain or something...lol.

MDaniel, my reply was not really criticism, but more a statement.
I think these little pumps are really great (I'm tempted too but shipping from US is way too high), and it may be worth waiting for the RMA...
Just my 0.02 cents...

No worries, it wasn't taken as being critical. This was mainly a curiosity test that I wanted answers for. I waited long enough to receive the replacement stainless steel screws to replace the original ones that were rusted. I've already had the pump almost a month. Having waited that long, I didn't want to wait any longer to see how it performed. My biggest weaknesses are being impatient and obsessive compulsive. Not a good combination.

And now I have my answers, and I would definitely order another one. But any problems would would result in an RMA, as I now know what the performance is like. Now I just have to decide whether to go SFF or regular ATX for the A64 I will be building in a few months. The size of the SFF is amazing, but it would be cheaper to just swap boards and to keep my case. I'm leaning toward the SFF, but I'm still troubled by the lack of space around the AGP ports to be able to fit a nice cooler on my next powerful card that replaces my current 9700np. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

Well, even if it is too expensive to ship, I'd still contact the company. Who knows, they might send you the replacement parts to repair it rather that you having to send it back. But I really think it's reliability is in jepardy with water in the moter. I doubt the bearings are stainless, so in time they might rust to the point of locking.

Yeah, CD, I have one of these and I like it. Very quiet. Since I already have an mcp600, I won't be cooling with it right away, but I have a friend that just bought a Biostar SFF, so I'm gonna be tempting him with the 750 as much as possible.

MDaniel,
I'm a little confused?

Are you in fact submerging the pump?

If so, that is your problem, they are not designed for full time submersion unless you ask for that feature specifically.

However, if it did in fact leak prior... SEND IT BACK !

There would be a major problem if that is the case.

Don't risk it, we will find you another one ASAP or repair your unit.

Thanks,
Dan

D-tek says they are still in pre-order for the CSP-750s. Anyone know if/when they plan on being able to ship these bad boys out?

No, then have stock, at least he did last week.

There back ordered on X2 brackets, and they should go out right after we finish with the move.

I think Danny has been shipping the preorders; he said stock was too low for a Pro/Deal on them atm though. Hasn't anyone gotten one from DTek yet?

I was just thrown b/c the Dtek site says they are still in preorder mode (despite having the new pic w/ the sweet looking black finish.)

I guess it safe to get one now =)

Danny will post when he expects more.

Again, sorry for the confusion.

You guys need to either raise the price and/or increase production

It just goes to show that there is significant demand for truly original water-cooling products out there. The C-Systems is a good compact performer, and can be configured for all kind of system requirments with multiple pumps. Its actually innovative and unique in the market, and the market is responding. If someone made a good radiator; one that really was designed for semiconductor cooling and not a cheap heatercore with the Krylon spraypaint touch (cough, BlackIce cough, cough) I bet they would sell thousands of the things.

Hello guys I`ve been keeping up with this thread since system cooling did a review on them. I will admit i didnt jump and buy these early but i did buy the dual pump from them right before they went to dtek. This was on May 25 and i still havent received them. Hotseat can you tell me what is going on. Is it because of the mounting bracket? Did you get more orders for the dual pump than the single ones? Is it wise to cancel the dual pump order and go with two single ones?

Well, I can explain both our lack of stock, and your delay simply.... OEM orders, LARGE ones.

We will be happy to refund your order anytime, since we process them in the order we receive them.

If you send email to C-Systems with your order number, we will return a date or refund anytime.

Please note, the pumps are not our only liquid cooling product, we where about to introduce several radically different products to the market, just as pump demand went crazy.

Also demand came at a real bad time, since most of AVT's manufacturing equipment was already booked on a production run of an automotive unit.

We finished the run 3 weeks ago, and now production is considerable higher

As too price, sorry will not jump up, we believe in providing a good product at a good price indepenant of market demand.

Nuts?
Maybe, but I sleep very well at night.
