Bill: one pixel is 0.01L/min so if they used 3.78L/gallon then it'd get back on track(more or less) if they make every other one be equal to 3.79L/gal. Seems a bit of a kludge though; much easier (IMO) to just make the graphs in origin and do the conversion there and relabel

I took it to be an index of refraction thing given the different radii
simple is better |

At some point in the future, I'll make some fresh, precision graphs. Currently, I'm more focused on learning the HTML/CSS/Javascript/DOM necessities to make the pump version act like I want. In the meantime, I photoshopped an adjustment that can go out when the coordinate enabled version hits the official page.

I'm feeing magnanimous today (woohoo! five hour century), I'll forgive the lack of code.
It was an interesting link, but...I didn't see any mouse tricks? |

sorry, my error
nothing but a alt text mouse-over when I saw it I thought it was generating the values and you are correct re the applets, a huge loading lag |

Yep, fired up IE and it showed their alt. Shame they didn't use title= instead of alt=, so that the text showed up in real browers (wrote 'em a nasty e-mail).
Applets and 56Kers, bad. I've learned enough in the last couple days, that I think I can do the pump stuff like I want: a 2x zoom, drag the zoomed area, coordinate display, independent x and y axis units. Might even be able to do some light curve generation by piecing together and distorting a collection of 'graph primitives'. |

whoa something's screwed up on that page for sure. Graphing not working properly at all. Let me look at it again for a sec

ok it's fixed now I just used Groth's newest code (with the numbers that follow the cursor) and all is well. Dunno what happened before
Blammo!

Release candidate with the finished coordinate function.
Do the coordinates work for you? What do you think about the placement/behavior? What do you think about the look of the block names? |

I don't have access to groth's webspace:
http://www.procooling.com/html/pro_testing.php should have coordinates in lower right of graph?

when converted to metric units, the background grid graphic needs to be bumped down slightly; 10 on the grid reads 10.2 deg

yea I think perhaps I need some updated background images from groth. His release candidate site looks correct, but the procooling one does not (unless I accidentally screwed something up)

Ah, that damn image toobar! I've killed it on my comps, so I never see it. I'll stick in code to disable it in the future.
Correct metric backgrounds should be in the graphbits.zip, pH. If not, wtf? |

Not a matter of slick, more like too stupid to know how stupid I am.
I just spent two frustrating hours of debugging to finding a typo. ![]() |

I'd appreciate people looking at this. It's one of my more reliable/flexible ways of generating line graphs with javascript, but occasionally there is weirdness.
The lines are a whole bunch of identical single pixel images. Normally, once one is loaded the rest are fetched from the cache. But everyone once in a while, it wants to download/verify all 1501 of them. ![]() Tell me if all three lines show up and how long did it take. If it goes really slow, let me know what browser and what settings. Thanks ![]() |
