That would explain the differences. Thanks, I will be using that in my next projects.

Well my A7V333 turned out to be a dud. So in light of that:

Code:
VGA LEADTEK|GF4 MX440 64M W/TV/RTL 1 $39.00
MB ASUS A7V8X-X/LAN KT400 RTL 1 $45.00
SWITCH AOPEN AOW605U SOHO SERIES RT 1 $19.00
CABLE COMPUCABLEBOOTED 25' GY CAT5E 1 $4.00

  Subtotal $107.00
  Tax $.00
Shipping and Handling charge
 8.00
Total $115.00

Step 5 of 5
Needed another switch as my 4 port router is full. I figure the A7V8X-X should be a little better than the A7V333 anyway. I also discovered I only have one card with AGP 2.0 compliance and that is in my Abit KD7. So I had to pick up the cheapest decent card I could find as nothing else fits in these newer boards. Well maybe next week I will have the 5th cruncher going....

Looks like we are loosing some output. We were over 6mill for a while and now just over 5mill a day. Still do good non the less.

We are in the top 20 at 19th position. Looks like we can take over a few more spots aswell.

Keep it up. Welcome to the new members aswell! We now gor 42 members with points on the board!

Looks like you've snuck back into 19th place

The big dump yesterday was because two members of Sneakers happened to dump stashed structures at the same time, myself and Barson.

Don't get too comfy at 19th, we're coming for you!

Damn! Yeah there are 3-4 teams all hovering round 110,000,000 of which ProCooling currently has the highest output. Sneakers aren't far behind though ...

Gah! Now i'll have to find *more* machines to fold on!

Yeah go to the links I gave above. Those are to the Distributed Folding teams. The one you have there is Folding@Home. Two different projects.

Ars Technica does both Folding@Home and Distributed Folding. The reason that the main person on Ars Technica gets more points than the entire ProCooling team is because he works as the network administrator at a Hospital, so he has all of those computer folding all day and night.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA That would REALLY suck. He probably only puts it on the client computers, like the ones the doctors type on. Not anything that could possibly kill somebody. Unless they are running Linux, which I don't think they are.

Well I finally got around to figuring out what was needed to get the network set up between my own a my daughters PCs.

hers has a dead PCI slot which is what kept screwing me over on several other attempts.

Got to the point I'd tried everything else, including buying a second card for her machine thinking perhaps the one used to hook her up to the cable at collage had gone bad.

But hers will be helping now at times at least. It's been on for the last day or so straight while I did some maintenace of differant kinds on it.

But it will be helping off and on from now on.

Can anyone give me some ideas what could have killed a slot on her Soyo board.??? It worked fine last year for her at collage. Thanks

Are you sure it is a dead slot and not just an IRQ conflict preventing the card from working?. Only think I can think off.

I'd ask your daughter what it is that she accidentally spilled in it, then stare at her with a doubtful eye, as she replies: "I didn't spill anything, I swear!".

Nevermind, figured out the problem...

I just found out, that my firewall has started blocking one of the clients running on one of my dually machines. So here comes a huge upload from me. I still can't figure out why one client is getting blocked, but not the other ones...
