Just try to imagine that you make a review (and some are always better then others) and you find out that on some forum pll are bashing on it in a real childish way ... I think some of you would just go trough the roof.

The biggest joke of all is that even the mods do it. How can you hope that members (or other your bashing @) stay nice when even you guys just go ahead ...

I have very little patience for ignorant people writing reviews full of misinformation and passing themselves off as experts. That was clearly the case in this thread. Make whatever value judgements you feel are appropriate. I personally feel that respect is earned based on correctness and technical expertise but if politeness is your prime evaluation of a quality reviewer then I can deal with that.

The review was for shit. If you don't understand WTF your talking about you have no reason to write a review. The only way to make it right on the net is to bash the dumb ass until everyone knows he is full of shit (and just maybe he will start to know it as well). There is no other way as the net is a place of no taking responsibility for your actions. In the real world if you wrote such a bullshit review and tried submitting it to a magazine company you would be quickly rejected. Problem with the net all these dumb ass fan boys that think they have a clue start a website and let anything fly because they know no better and there is no way to be punished for your disservice.

Joe has set up a restricted group into which troublemakers can be placed that imposes additional limitations. They can start threads and reply to posts as normal, but they cannot edit their posts or delete messages. This "group" is reserved for people who do stupid things like go back through a thread and edit out all of their comments to make everyone else look arbitrary and mean. As of now that restricted group includes one user (JMKE). This is similar to the time JayDee deleted a thread when he was taking a beating. Joe's response is again similar (users can't delete their own threads).

The "ignore poster" link seems even MORE effective to me though for solving such squabbles.

I just can't believe that every little review you wrote was totally right on the point. Even you will have made mistakes along the way, everybody does.
Ok his review wasn't of great quality, i too can see that. But do i start bashing at him? No. And why? I find it better to notify him about his faults, so he can learn and correct. I thought that that was the spirit on any forum: Help you fellow geeks and share what you know. Not bash them when they make mistakes, here in belgium that's what we do in kindergarden ... (nothing personal to you, just a general thought, because a lot of people reacted that way)

Yeah i know JMke in person (big surprise, belgium has fewer inhabitants than NYC & his suburbs, let alone the region where we speak the same language ... Here we speak 3 languages in such a small population) and i know 1 thing for sure. @Zavke, I did not write the review, I edit it from a submission made by Liquid3d who's learning every day I stand by him. This review, which Procooling referred to did contain a lot of misinformation; most of it was mentioned on the first 2-3 pages. I thanked the people who made the corrections and have edited the whole article since then, afaik it now NO longer contains any false info. but what happened then is none of my doing, not my cause, and I don't know why Procooling guys decided to BASH ME. For what? For replying to this thread and saying that maybe they are overreacting when bashing the person instead of his article? probably.

Two things -

1 - Editing what you wrote in the first place makes you look INSTANTLY like you've said something you regret. I cant even remember what you wrote, but I sure remember you calling us bastards for arguing with l3d... What you wrote wasn't in a favourable light, at all. I hope Joe still has the records and reposts everything you wrote just to clarify the whole situation.

2 - Re-registering just so you CAN edit your posts is pretty damn pathetic. How bout you just think about what you write before hitting the 'post reply' button? If you dont care, why re-register? You make little sense to me...
