Swiftech run-around
I saw the MCW462 waterblock, and I thought it looked really cool...I was advised against purchasing from Swiftech, but I went ahead anyway...I had some questions, so I called Gabe...he told me he was busy, and didn't have time for my questions...he directed me to Joe Citarella from Overclockers.com, saying he had done a thorough review of the waterblock...I emailed Joe, and he told me it came with 3/8" inner diameter nipples, so that it would fit with the rest of my products...I went ahead and ordered...I called Gabe and gave him my credit card number(funny, he had time for that)...12 days later, I'm curious about the status, since has yet to be billed...I call up, and he says I never ordered it...I tell him I have a confirmation receipt, and he tells me that they simply lost my order...
now, mistakes happen, and I understand...but this guy with his arrogance..."Just what did you expect to hear when you called me today?" was his question to me after I told him I was appalled that he took my credit card number over the phone, yet lost the order... I've had a bad feeling about this guy from the moment I first talked to him on the phone...I wanted to cancel a week ago, but he charges 15% fee for unshipped cancellations...so this worked out best, I suppose...I"m taking my money to Chip...there's like a night and day difference...Chip obviously enjoys what he does, Gabe obviously hates people... I am new at all of this, and this is the first time I have ever dealt with Gabe...did I mistake his intentions? Am I the only one that has had this kind of experience with him? |
