12V pump selection - help needed

I'm WCing a small case. I'm looking for a nice 12v pump. I've got a 600 and I'm happy with it but I'd like something a bit smaller.

Size and noise are my two biggest priorities but performance is a close 3rd.

Ideas?

I've got a Liang D4 that's suprisingly small, verging on tiny. From what I hear (the rest of my parts show up tomorrow) it's a bit on the noisy side, about equal to a 80mm fan. As far as performance, the reviews say it's fine.

The Laing D4 and the MCP600 are about the same size, with slightly different dimensions.

Perhaps the original poster would like to try the C-Systems 12v pump?

I'd love to try a C System one but dtek still has them on pre-order. Does anyone know of a place that has them in stock?

I replied per my experience, which covers only the D4.

The C-System look good though I'd be forced to buy two because of the impressive stats and the wow-factor.

spoke to Dtek today, they should be in stock next week for sure. Oh and DTek is the ONLY reseller/dealer call it whatever.

I belive its only black @ the moment, also I think the C systems logo on the back gets replaced with DTek engraved after the anodization so it will be silver.

It shouldn't be, as long as you etch first.

I just set up my D4. It does have a buzz to it, but it isn't bad at all, at least not compared to the tornado 119cfm and Zalman OPS I'm replacing.

And Dima, how would one engrave internally?

You could take it all apart and engrave the inside. I'm SURE we'd all take it about again to see that.

More to the point, if you engrave on the outside AFTER anodizing, don't you compromise the anodization process. I know we aren't supposed to have leaks, have too much humidity, etc.... but it happens.

I was under the impression that C Systems was anodizing the units, sending them to Dtek, who then rebranded them and sold them (engraving here?) If thats true, I hope its jus a sticker.

The anodizing is only needed on the inside, but since you immerse it in the dye, the whole thing gets done. The engraving is not an issue. Dtek now has them in stock.

the anodizing is MOST needed on the inside but (depending on the metal involved) you still need some coating to help prevent rust / corrosion.

Especially in humid climates. Wy wife says that things don't rust too often in Colorado.

The C-System looks physically nice, but aren't the stats look significantly less than the MPC600 (or am I reading something wrong?), I'm in the same situation have a really nice aluminum alloy case that doesn't allow alot of space (and I'm not choppin holes in this baby!)... Currently squeezed a Via Aqua 1300 in (money was tight at the time), looking for something small, powerful, and quiet!

(And yes I'd also like ultimate power, immortality and a nice new universe to rule over as absolute god!)

The ones that jumped us where relatively small and black, but they were en masse and MEAN.

Speaking of pumps, the D4 is everything I had hoped. After almost a week in service the "buzz" it made at first is gone, or at least lessened to the point where I can't here it over my ventilation and res fans. With two blocks and about 6 feet of 1/2 inch ID tubing it still kicks up quite a bit of turbulence in my high-mounted bay res.

32c idle looks real GOOD!

It's a bit weak but that shouldn't hurt your temperatures very much.
