Looks very nice. Altough I see two problems:
1. Alu + copper = bad 2. GPU block doens't have much surface area.. |

The Gpu channel design is not final, (and was a CAD dept "misunderstanding" apparently) . I have mentioned to Craig that some folks will probably want a fully copper design, and he has said this could be done. The current one will have an anodised lid so preventing galvaic corrosion.
It is worth mentioning that this is not my product, and while I have helped produce it I'm not in any way affiliated with Craig or Cool Computers. I'm not getting paid for this as I want to remain independent so as not to be accused of just being Craigs "salesman". I will get some alpha test units from time to time to test out and I will also help as much as I can, but please remember it is not anything to do with me directly. Craig is of course interested in any constructive feedback, postive or negative so I'll pass anything on. ------------------

Anodizing should be sufficiant here to prevent the corosion common between aluminum and copper, plus you can make it all kinds of fun colors like a red version to go with the GainWard cards etc.....

I did mention to Craig that some users may still prefer an all copper design and he said this would be a possibility. Not sure on colours of the anodising but mathing to the card or PCB colour would be nice, best you request some now colours now, bright pink or purple would be cool and different. (it will only be the lid anodised afaik to prevent galvanic corrosion in water only cooling systems). It is a niche product really so I'm sure he'll be able to customise a little where possible. More info when I get it.

Yeah but it's not on hardocp anymore
You'll love this, I just got banned from hardocp Kyle, (one of the hardocp bosses), deleted my topic (similar to this one), because he saw it as a advert, which it isn't but whatever, anyway because I challenged him, mainly because he was adamant I was selling something and wouldn't or couldn't be bothered to see my point, he just banned me. First time I've been banned, quite liberating really. . He has every right to remove my topic but an e-mail about it would have been nice considering they have been using my cooling project as a story on their site. He however does not have any right to adamantly accuse me of selling something, when he has no proof. Seems a shame some of these people are on a real Power Trip If anyone sees it as an advert then they need to read the complete history BEFORE passing judgement. here:- http://ssjothun.hypermart.net/stealth/1/ with a news update here:- http://ssjothun.hypermart.net/news/

Hey, Your block is really nice, the pics i saw of the original you did, also I never saw pics of the interior channeling just the outside looks. I think if you guys and some other water-cooling guru's thought it over you could come up with a more effective design. Also the anodising is a good idea, alot of people use those mem cooling kits and the Abit blue mobos it would match if blue. Anyway great job on the hole thing and good luck on the final units production.( Design I mean, I know you have nothing to do with the sales =] )

Seriously though thats amazing. Any idea if I'd be able to get just the RAM sink part? I already have a nice GPU block but I wouldn't mind having something for the RAM. Also what kind of price tag would that carry? |

Jolinator
Good question, and both I and Craig want it to be included in the kit and the unit is cheep and simple to make. The problem is sourcing the tiny three pin plug Asus use. Been trying for ages now and even asked if nVidia can find out. redleader Again it's not my product or price, click the link in the first post for all details. I'm pretty sure the lid will be removable if not it could be sent unassembled but it's something you'd need to request. I think Craig is intending to sell the ram block separately at a later date. Thanks and I'll have a look at ArsTechnica
