air bubbles
Hi, I just put my inline water cooling system together but can't seem to get all the air bubbles out. I have a magdrive 2, car heater core, maze2, and 3/8" tubing with a T at the top. The water travels too fast and the air bubbles don't have a chance to escape through the T. Is there any kinda of plumbing part that can vent air out? Also the magdrive vibrates alot and causes the comp case to also vibrate and make a humming noise. I used vinyl gormets and bolted the pump onto the bottom of the case but still makes noise. Any suggestions for that?

To help the pump vibration, loosen the bolts off a bit and stuff some foam under the mounting plate, then tighten the bolts down. This worked for me.
As for the air bubbles... I'm at a loss on how to get rid of them all as well. I'm re-engineering my system to include a reservoir of some kind, but this might have to wait until I can get a bigger case (anyone know what the Lite-On FS020's like for H2O cooling) |

Give it time. Unless your T is completely full of air, then bubbles will gradually rise to the top.

You could always build one of these...
http://forums.procooling.com/ubbcgi/...c&f=2&t=000304 On a side note, you have almost the exact setup I'm thinking of putting together this summer. What are you cooling, and what are your temps? Thanks for posting, in advance! |

Finally got everything put together, just made a mini res to get air out. I got a regular 1ghz tbird not axia running at 1136 and temps are 35 idle /44 load. But with my case closed it does 40/50, I will have to make some holes. My wbk38 did 32/45 but with that delta 38 at full blast. I'm using 2 80mm case fans on my heater core. The heater core is thick and air isn't circulating all that well, i'm also using torn apart power supply fans as spacers. I tested the maze 2 with a bucket of water and this comp did 27/34 so there's nothing wrong with the waterblock. I think I'll need better fans, Panaflo or sanyo denki I guess.

Should go
Pump -> Radiator -> Block -> RES-> Punp |
