Need EE wiring advise to connect pelt to a PSU

I have a nice PSU that outputs 12V DC @ 32amps, and presently is powering a 226W pelt. The problem is that the wires to which the pelt is connected are getting to darn hot, and has me worried.

My question is, (since the PSU has an extra rail) would it be safe/better to connect the positive wire of the pelt to the 12V lines of two of these rails, and respectively the ground to two ground of these rails? would temperature will be reduiced?

I guess what I am trying to do is to connect the pelt in parallel.

It should divide the consume by half per rail, so, yes.

No problems with that. Is the PSU dedicated to the pelt?

Thanks. It's an Sparkle Power 550W, and is also powering all the hardware in the computer.
