Via can really piss me off...
Ya know... Via makes good chipsets. However, I've always had only so-so experiences w/ their boards. Their new trend is really pissing me off. They can produce a chipset, have the ****in consumers eat it up like birds to seed. Then they re-release it, fixing all the shit that users found with the first revision. They did at w/ the Apollo Pro 133(A), the KT266(A), and the P4X266(A). Is it just me or is anyone else pissed about how they milk the cash cow?
-Kev EDIT: I forgot the KT133(A). [ 11-13-2001: Message edited by: Kevin ]

[sarcasm] You think? [/sarcasm]
Seriously, I am just glad I didn't rush out and buy a KT266 (non A) board a while back else I would be pissed. Seriously I am going to make a concerted effort to stay away fomr Via in the future. I think SiS especially and to a certian extent ALi have really proven themselves with DDR Athlon boards. Time will tell on this subject.

Yes. Sis has definitely proven themselves to me. Besides when I was seeing how high my video card would o/c, I can count the number of crashes my computer has had on one hand. That's why I am actually going to wait for the Leatedk 7450KDA board. I just think the 735 chipset is quality at its highest.
But back to via, I got screwed by them twice. The first was with the Apollo Pro 133. That board sucked ass, and the 133A wasn't much better. the next time I got sckrewed was on the KT133.

You should be glad that they at least fix their problems, not just release crap all the time

yah defnintely MS style stuff... Win 3.1(1) was nice. Windows 95 was a huge update. Win 98 was not so big. The SE and Me updates were even smaller. Then XP was a big update.
