Maze4-1 + Shim
My max oc with air + shim was 360mhz core with my 9700pro
with my maze4-1 + 80watt pelt its 370mhz not that much more. Does the shim get in the way of cold plate? I cant check.. everythig is hooked up and such. I know its mounted correctly.. and tighten and even properly. Any ideas? I do plan to volt mod... sooner if the shim gets in the way. |

I got to 415 after I removed shim w/ voltmod and AirCooling :o :o. Not bad for one of those zalman heatpipes, I wasn't expecting much, then again I have two 50 cfm fans on it .

I subsequently messed my card up while soldering, I just got a 9800 a little while ago, put the zalman on it and I have 475/340 voltmodded (SMD Grabber, set to 1.8, thinking about getting a iron w/ less wattage to do vmem), Trying to get over 500 core w/ pelt (when it gets here ).

Ouch! Well I fixed the prob. When I took the shim off I got to 400mhz... ( this card is a crappy overclocker... my older one did 400mhz stock.. but anyways) and then I VMODDED it and have it at a nice 440mhz
