Default 525 gph sub pump

Hi I was wondering if this in anyones opinion was an overkill, the max head is around 7 ft @525 gph, its a submersible pump i plan to sumbmerge in my custom PLEXIGLASS res thats currently under sconstruction (Will post pics when its done, I also am using a 1992 jeep wrangler heatercore (little bigger than the 86 chevette, with that said will the pump be ok?

7 feet of head is nothing special really - that sort of pump with high open flow rate but low head is quite common but not the best type for watercooling.

Well if he posted that correctly 7ft at 525GPH is pretty damm impressive. :shrug:

Why would max head give 525 gph? Generally max head is quoted as the zero flow point.

Maybe it is just written bad. Should be 525GPH@0 head with 7ft head max? Still not that bad though. Bigger than anything I ever used excpet maybe my Hydrothruster 500.

It's not that big really - the open flow is high, but 7 feet max head is below the MCP600 (10.5 ft), so actual performance will likely be around the same as many commonly used pumps.
