need some help re water cooling.
I have a pentium 4 - 3.06gighz, 1 gig of ram bus 1600 mghz speed, 8500 dv video card and scsi 29160 host adapter with a seagate 15k 36 gig and one gigabite GA-8IH XP. I have just recently installed my water cooling system to my computer. I've installed a swiftech MCP 300 inline pump, HWlabs black extreem 2 rad, a swiftech MCW5000 thermoelectric water block (peltier) with tygon tubing 1/2 inch, water wetter and blue uv die.
My CPU temperature (from C Moss) is fluctuating between 0 to 12 celcius. Is this normal or should it be consistantly one temperature and if so should it be a low temperature? (sub zero?) Any information regarding this is much appreciated. Iam using a 12 volt 360 watt 25 amp samlex 360 watt psu model # s320-12 and the block comes pre assembled Last edited by fcapo; 05-05-2003 at 10:40 PM. |

what psu are you using to power the pelt?
The number one solution to poor temperatures with pelts (provided power is sufficient) is increasing the clamping pressure. Peltiers require a lot of force between them, the waterblock, and the cold plate to perform properly. |

also, touch your radiator, if it's kinda hot to the touch, your water isnt being cooled well enough.

Power should be fine then. Your options are:
Poor radiator performance Poor contact between pelt and wb/cold plate Poor contact between CPU and cold plate I would expect the water to be warm with a 226W pelt personally. If it is not, then I would suspect that the last 2 are culprits. |
