I ordered from GameHardware (which is a division of the OCZ). Got an "Unlocked" t-bird 850 gaurenteed @ 950. Showed up in 2 days @ my workplace (My favorite place to have things shipped, as you know) w/ a 980Mhz Rating. Unfortunally, either due to myself or them, the "lead" they used to connect the bridges had become smeared, and the unlock was broken. I was only able to get the processor up to 910 without being able to play with the multipler. Finally, someone told me how to re-unlock it without conductive pens (which I think the OCZ shoudl have used, so the unlock would stick) and I got it to go 9.5x107 for the 1017 I run now. I was disappointed @ their unlocking technique, HOWEVER, actually VERY happy with the price (An 850 T-bird for $120 shipped, back when most places wanted around $150 for the OEM), and have been able to unlock it again, and very happy. I would probably buy from them again if the price continues to be nice and low, and the service great, but I would warn ppl that the lock might night stay, since they don't use a permanent solution.

no company had a score higher than 7.0 1.Mwave-"overall score"-5.5-good reviews 2.OCZ-------------------1.0 or 4.2 still-poor reviews 3.Outside loop----------6.7-good reviews 4.Advanced Design-------5.8-good reviews 5.Nata------------------6.0-bad reviews 6.Techstore-------------6.1-good reviews 7.Azzo------------------5.9-good reviews 8.PCnut-----------------6.8-best reviews So you be the judge! They can have a 6.0 and bad reviews if PPL who vote them well do not actually comment on it, IE. Do something well, you tell someone, if they SCREW you tell everyone, PPL will only say what bad happened, it's very rare when the opposite happens, ESP. if it's not Asked for (ie, ratings without someone saying "Thanks for buying from us, now please rate us")

I have heard many bad things but never first hand so I thought the 1.0 was a valid rating...

There are 2 versions of the resellerratings for OCZ... the 1st one (old one), registers a 4.2, not great, but not a 1.0... also, when you go to comments, there Are ALOT for only 3 ppl having rated them. I'm not really sticking up for OCZ, as I said, my experince with them was semi-mixed, but with a happy outcome, but I figure that everything should be said.

1. Mwave - They have AWESOME prices, and they ship stuff incredibly fast. I have never heard of an MWave-related problem.
2. OCZ - People always seem to be happy w/ their products, but they seem to be lazy w/ shipping. 3. Outside Loop - I have an afterburner and its great! That's all I have ordered from them. 4. Advanced Design - not much experience, but their prices are nice. 5. Nata - ? 6. TechStore - Not very nice on the phone 7. Azzo - Got my KT7/duron from them. No complaints... 8. PCNut - I have heard only great things, but have no personal experience. [This message has been edited by Kevin (edited 12-11-2000).] |

I did have 2 Mwave problems... But they were quickly resolved.
They shipped me 2 mobo's ( in 2 separate purchases), and both were DOA... they exchanged and we were all happy. That's where I bought all my Super7 Stuff back in the day ------------------ C-ya Joe - Owner/Editor www.ProCooling.com Where the Completely Addicted Come to Cool Off Somebody set up us the bomb. |

My bitch is with Logical Source in Lindon, UT. I ordered a Sparkle 300w for my new Duron/Abit KT7R. It came DOA.(S%&@T) I called them and they told me on the phone that I will get an RMA via email. So I wait 5 days, "nuttin honey". Callem back same answer 2 days later Bingo an RMA... Sent it back to them, they got it on 12/5 today it's 12/16 and diddly squat from them. In the mean time I got a an Enermax 350 with dual fans that rocks... But I'm still waiting for restitution on the dead Sparkle....

I can only comment on mwave, the guy proccesing my 2nd order from them kept screwing up the entry for Visa, resulting in a decline (the card services told me my account was being billed for $0, resulting in the decline. Well I'll take it for $0! Approve it!). After I helped him screw his head on straight, the order went thru as my first, flawless. Both of my orders were placed one year ago.

I just bought an iWill KK266 from Outside Loops website. Ordered it on Saturday evening, it arrived via Fedex on the following Wednesday. No complaints from me, and I will use them again.

Bought my Leadtek G force 4 Ti 4600 from Mwave.
Ordered on line, shipped out next day was in my hands 3 days later. Absolutley no problems ( well other than Fed Ex cant seem to find my house) I end up meeting the driver at a drop point This should not be taken as any negative remark on Mwave. Fed Ex is the one with the problem. Same thing happened when I ordered from Danger Den ( I think Fed Ex needs a new driver or at least one that can read street signs) Aardil |

At work we solely order from MWave, except on the rare occasion they dont have something, like 2.5 to 3.5 hdd adapters. Usually the slowest part is getting my boss to actually take care of the order. So I am very happy with them, and if there is a problem, if the boss will actually call them, they will get it taken care of as quick as him.
The other companies I have never used at all. |

I agree. Fedex is a bunch of frickin' morons. I love how they don't ever bother to read notes that are left to drop off packages that don't require signatures at neighbor's houses. It appears that they have a package of mine at a distribution point right now, but the morons can't find it for the life of them. I try to use UPS whenever possible.

I have built for systems from MWAVE parts and havn't ever had trouble with them. I don't use them anymore though because I can get free shipping from New Egg most of the time.
