Default 15v Pelt on 24v PSU?

Hello,

Still have not purchased neither of them, but...

Would a 15v pelt run off a 24V PSU losing the 9 volts or would it just be over-volted and burn?

It's for buying either the Meanwell S-320-15 or 24

Thanks,

Mario

It would be undervolted leading to lower performance but higher efficiency.

Have a look in your peltiers datasheet for the performance at 15v.

Edit: Ignore this, I didn't read to post properly and in relation to that this post is utter nonsense.

not a good idea. I highly recommend running a 15V pelt @ 12V
S-320-12 is a good choice...

Sorry didn't read the post properly, stimmed up on coffiene.. Ignore the quotation above.

Yeah, do what Bruce says.. Usualy TECs will handle high voltages at higher temps, but i guess high temps aren't what you're looing for.
