well my parents moved
and dish network setup a new satellite for them so now we have the extra old satellite. i guess its a way to coerce the new residents of our old house to sign up for service because it would be easier or something ****ing corporate america but anyways now that i have an extra satellite and receiver, what can i do with it? is the lnb compatible with other satellites (free ones)? could i buy a motor for the dish so i can change satellites? mucho gracias. its good to be back ![]()

You might be able to use it, as is, just to get weather reports and stuff.
Otherwise you might be able to re-use the dish for a point-to-point wireless link with a buddy of yours. The receiver is useless; you might be able to get a credit/refund for it, if you return it. |
