BattleFeild 1942?, Single Player?...

I need a new game, just finished Spearhead, trouble is I only have a 56K connection and it does'nt get you into multiplayer in any big way, DoD used to be fine on 56k cause of the dedicated servers, last time I tried multi for MoHAA I got kicked within 20seconds

, damn 'daddy got me broadband' weenies!!.

So!, is BF42 good in the singleplayer campaign?, I've heard that it taxes the CPU when you turn AI up but that's about all I've gleened, is it worth getting for single player only?...

Any other FPS~singleplayer games worth getting at the mo'? (UK), has Project IGI2 come out US side yet?, anyone played that desert storm(right name?) yet?...

it taxes the crap out of the cpu when you crank the AI up. It is built for multiplayer, and that is where it is the best really. IGI2 is not out over here I don't belive.

I thought the single play was pretty decent. I went through the campaigns then went Multiplayer & haven't gone back

It's similar to other games - decent Single play, but really made for Multiplayer.
