Ok someone i know is willing to sell me a MSI Geforce 4 Ti4600 for 180 dollers. This is with all the software and all that other stuph, but i know how if i wait i can buy bigger and better things. I.E the 9700 ati and FX and such. Should i cough up 180 for the G4?

Joe , you gotta clean that up a bit =p i know you said you were gettin rid of all that stuff around the tv, but how about those rca's coming from the front of the tv.. =p just messin with ya , congrats on the system... my friend just gave me his old system , it was a technics reciever w/ all sony speakers 5.1 --bikr

I would suspect that in 3-4 months you'll be able to get a 9700 at that price. When the FX gets released prices on the ATi's will plummet, especially considering the R350/R400 are slated for release at the end of Q1/Q2, respectively. In March spend that money on a 9700 Pro.

Personally, I would hold out.

Nvidia should have a new card out in February and I'm sure ATI will come down in price a bit more then as well.

How much are they going for new?, you can hold out forever with Graphics cards but there ARE supposed to be some new releases soon with FX just round the corner...

from what i hear theres gonna be the fx in feb and some ati one in march, the ati ones gonna kill the fx. Ati is really starting to come ahead.
