Metallica: Load/Reload; if You want to reach Your destination fast.
AC/DC: Everything; if You want to be there even faster.
I don´t have the guts to try Motörhead.
Enya and Blackmores Night might be, eem... softer. Maybe better for sailing.

He he, this reminds me of what I did, many years ago: a couple of years after the movie "Top Gun" came out, I was looking for a way to test my car's sound system, so I put the movie on tape

I think I might have freaked out a couple of people, hearing an F-15 (or was it F-14?) as I pulled up next to them

For driving I'm a big fan of anything by Paul Oakenfold. I also like my fair share of - lol- that's what's in my car right now: James Brown!!!

Ministry of sound puts out good discs: The Annual2003 has some good driving tunes. Their Chillout discs aren't that great for driving though.

Erase and Rewind by the Cardigans is in my head.
Was listening to Tom's Diner, by Susan Vega (I think) while driving today.

Bigben, what an idea! I might just have to hook my comp. upto my laserdisc player! Mmmmm "Take My Breath Away..." err... I mean, WOOOOSH! F14!!! (Annual2003 CD3 has a good remix of Take My Breath Away, and CD1 has a good intro with "We're in Heaven" I think is what it's called.)

Just be wary of the output levels: they can peak quite easily.

My "Music To Drive 90 mph by" mixes:

Ayumi Hamasaki - "Evolution"
Dream - "Night of Fire"
DJ Liquid - "I Can't Stop Raving"
Fiori - "Take Me Where You Are"
Flip and Fill - "Shooting Star"
ATC - "All Around the World"
The Vines - "Outtatheway"
The White Stripes - "Fell in Love with a Girl"
Globe - "Come into Existence"
Buckcherry - "Lit Up"
Caroline's Spine - "Attention Please"
Fat - "Downtime"
Janus Stark - "Every Little Thing Counts"
Offspring - "Million Miles Away"
Red Hot Chili Peppers - "The Zephyr Song"
Suicide Machines - "Break the Glass"
3 Doors Down - "Kryptonite"

and, of course, the ineffable "Song 2" by Blur.

Also, you can't go wrong with pretty much anything by System of a Down, Soul Coughing, Daft Punk, Ministry of Sound, Paul Oakenfold, Paul van Dyk, or Underworld.
