There are NO upgrades for the BIOS. You will need to boost the ram (min 128) if you install the larger drives. Helps Boost the performace in handling raid 5 and JVM if you are running it. As for OS you are correct with needing 3.4.805 or v4 for large disk support. You are at a version of the OS that will allow you to direct to 805, no need to go to 803 first.

The 4000 stores the OS in flashram, so the upgrade will be easy. I would do the OS upgrade before replacing the drives. That way it will know to use LBA48.

Are you going to have power to run it will all of the rolling blackouts this summer? Or has CA finally figured out they need to allow exploration and build generation plants????? As you neighboring states grow there will be less.
