We're pulling on the [H]OCP guys. We were 45, now we're 41. They only have 600,000 or so more than we do. COME ON TEAM, WE CAN WIN THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS!!! Oh wait, I mean the Distributed Folding thing, not the Special Olympics... Heh

Thats some weird stuff there santanicoo. I just put the distributed folding file on my desktop, open it, and click on the foldtrajlite icon. Never seen anything like that before.

We're still gaining on the [H]OCP guys. We're only 5.8 million away now. We can do this, I'm going to be adding an XP 1800+ to our group in a few hours. Hopefully it'll help a little bit.

![]() I just added a XP1600@1600mhz. Brought back a Abit KT7A and a power supply from the dead so I am not to sure how long they will last, but it is crunching away.... |

I have a couple questions I hope someone can help with.
I downloaded the program 2 days ago, still shows my system not contributing anything. What's up with that? I have had the system on and connected almost the whole time, 70% of which it should have been doing nothing else. Glad to see ProCooling doing well, team is now #40. 523,000 behind [H] who are now #35. Is there a list showing ALL teams and their standings, or do you have to look them up individually? Thanks for any info in advance. BE |

Nope, it's not working,
Only thing I configured differant from default settings was the RAM use, I changed that to the 150mg. setting. I'm going to dump it and start over. |

Jaydee,
Is this why so many of ProCoolings team members don't show any stats?? Only 18 of 60+ are shown as active members! Have to go now, but leaving system redownloading the program. |

If you edit the Foldit.bat, look at the line that says:

*CAUTION* the -qt makes it go into 'quiet' mode. Which shows nothing on screen. There's the window and a flashing cursor, that's OK. The colorful symbols and such can take up to as much as 20% of your processing power. Keep it in quiet mode for best performance. *SIDE NOTE* We're only 500,000 away from [H]OCP now. MUAHAHAHAHA!!! |

OK guys here's where I'm at for the moment. I downloaded the screen saver version, and it is working.
As I understand it though it only will run if my system is idle, correct? |

Well that is a interesting screen saver. I was a bit unhappy with not having any results so went for the differant one.
I now have it working on the text program. I hope. |

I been getting hammered with these "stuck" steps. I got 2 comps on one step for the last 6hrs. After I added my 3rd comp my results returned have DROPPED 35%.

Ok, I'm trying to talk my brother into letting me put it on his computer. It's an AMD XP 1600+. I did, however, set it up at my client computer at work. We're shut down this week, so it won't do us any good for now. But come next monday, we'll have an extra 700 Duron helping out.

Is there a way to not have the foldit tab at the bottom of my screen?

You can run the folding client as a Service in Win 2000/Win XP. Do you have either of those?

A service runs completly hidden and I doubt most people would even know it was there.
So you could sneak onto your grannie's 333 and install the pakage and leave and she'll be none the wiser ![]() OK that may seem a bit far fetched but replace the word Grannie's with wife's and you may have a winner. |

The service will run whenever the comp is on though right? I'd rather have some control like when I'm benchmarking or fixing some problem. I guess I can just deal with it though.
Does the text based graphics really chew up that much power or could I leave that running to see what gen I'm on? |
